We're looking for a
Design Coordinator to join our Natural Resources, Nuclear & Networks team
Location: Thames Valley
Contract: Permanent, full time - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us
What will you be responsible for?
As a Design Coordinator, you'll be working within the Thames Water team, supporting them in the design phase of construction projects across the non-infrastructure and wastewater projects within the Thames Valley.
You will provide expert engineering support and leadership, collaborating closely with diverse stakeholders to delivery design assurance, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
Your Day To Day Will Include
- Optimising the engineering assurance process for designs developed by design partners
- Managing design change and serving as the primary point of contact for technical queries during both construction and design phases
- Collaborating with the client to understand and deliver their specific requirements
- Ensuring the engineering design team, design consultants, and construction partners develop technically and economically efficient engineering solutions
- Implementing and upholding design quality procedures, ensuring adherence to the 'right first time' philosophy
What are we looking for?
This role of Design Coordinator is great for you if you hold:
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) in an engineering discipline or related field
- Experience working on complex technical projects and supporting on target delivery for time, cost and quality
- IT literacy and proficiency in design software (AutoCAD, Revit, BIM)
- Full driving licence
