Fixed-term contract until 5 December 2025
To build a fair education for all, we need to unlock the potential in all children – not just some. Together, we’re making it happen. Every day, our work takes us closer to a better future. But we need to do more. It’s a big challenge – and we need your help to take it on.
Development Leads - English (SDLs) most frequently work on our Training Programme but may also work on other Teach First programmes such as ECF and SCITT. As an SDL you will deliver training to our teachers, largely online, to support their progress. You will also use your expertise both as a teacher and a subject specialist to contribute to our learning design across programmes. You’ll work with a portfolio of trainees to develop their subject knowledge and subject-specific pedagogy. You will collaborate with other support roles, to see trainees grow into leaders, committed to making a difference to educational inequality.
As Development Lead - English, you’ll work on the Training Programme to teach a subject-specific area of our secondary curriculum. Our secondary subjects for QTS are: English, Mathematics, Science, Design & Technology, Modern Foreign Languages (French and Spanish), Computing, Business, Music, History, Geography and Religious Education.
Yes to the above? Then we want to hear from you. You might be our next Development Lead – English!
