Our UK team is looking forward to welcoming DevOps Engineer to our Managed Services team to build, deploy and maintain systems and solutions for Roboyo’s customers. As a senior engineer you will work along side application engineers to ensure vital platforms are performant and well maintained to take customers to the next level.

Within this role your responsibilities and tasks will include:

• Leading and organising team activities, being on top of service delivery, delegating work, and managing capacity
• Be the primary point of contact for the client and the UK infrastructure team
• Installing, deploying, configuring, recommending improvements and maintaining the docker/Kubernetes cluster itself through deployment pipelines and automation.
• Experience in Docker orchestration and Docker containerisation using Kubernetes and areas of Kubernetes such as storage (PV, PVC, Storage Classes), networking (Services, Endpoints, DNS, Load Balancers).
• Overarching involvement in the design and implementation of scalable and highly available solutions, ensuring reliability, performance, and security in line with wider business strategies
• Identify and resolve complex technical issues, troubleshoot production incidents
• Good knowledge on Linux Administration/System Management/Automation skills
• Establish and implement Service Level Agreements (SLA) based on appropriate Service Level Objectives (SLO) and Service Level Indicators (SLI)
• Liaise with client technical and business teams as needed to ensure an effective solution is implemented
• Supervise, mentor, and develop other employees on application and implementation methodologies fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous learning
• Available to provide on-call as part of a rotation for high priority tickets
• Continual improvement of service to our clients ensuring the required impact is met
  
  

Requirements:

• At least 3 years or more of experience in hands-on creating and supporting services on Azure and Kubernetes
• Kubernetes infrastructure with exposure to the use of Cloud Kubernetes services in AKS
• Experience in creating and managing production scale Kubernetes clusters
• Support our Kubernetes based projects to resolve critical and complex technical issue
• Experience in programming IT solutions, preferably with shell scripting languages and python
• Have or able to meet UK Enhanced Security checks to support clients of national importance
• Kubernetes certification is a big plus
• Experience with Elasticsearch and CI/CD is of great advantage
• ITIL certification or experience in service management would be a bonus
• Good communicati on skills and social competence for strong customer relationships
• Fluent in English
