Digital Manufacturing Engineer
Full time
Derby/ Hybrid (3 days/week on-site)
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an MRO (Manufacturing, Repair and Operations) Digital Manufacturing Engineer to join the team in Derby.
This is an exciting time to be joining the team as we have a number of large-scale projects to implement over the next six years and you will help us realise our Digital Manufacturing strategy within the internal and external supply chain.
You will fix, improve and help to transform current and future digital capability and be expected to identify and develop opportunities for new or improved manufacturing processes, digital systems and technologies to meet current and future requirements. Capturing, analysing and using data to demonstrate and improve manufacturing processes.
Working as part of a small cross functional team, you will also ensure both the business and our people are ready for the process changes these systems will introduce. By working with a number of interfacing teams and local experts you will ensure the technical aspects of the MRO processes and digital systems are understood and accounted for.

Our Service Delivery Engineers play a key role in Service Operations by providing high quality engineering insight in support of diagnosing & managing emerging asset issues in the Civil Airlines fleet. This is an opportunity to join the back office delivery team to work on maintaining our EHM capability & responsiveness.

What You Will Be Doing
In this interesting role you will:
- Ensure manufacturing processes are in full compliance to Health, Safety & Environmental Standards, meet the expectations of the Zero Harm programme and are capable of achieving and sustaining the design definition responsible for mitigating against process deviation.
- Operate a culture of zero defects within the organisation. Works with functions to reduce risk and drive product Right First Time. Ensure compliance to all relevant company, legislative and technical policies and standards including RRMS, SABRe and Export Control and Intellectual Property requirements.
- Plan and manage activities including schedule, resources and costs, gaining buy-off and communicating current status to relevant stakeholders. Ensure issues and risks are resolved to meet project timescales.
- Deploy and implement standardised Digital Manufacturing processes and technologies working across the Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO) lifecycle working with Design and Operations functions ensuring business readiness in terms of people and process change to maximise business benefit.
- Build and maintain beneficial relationships with partners and suppliers to enable delivery of objectives.
Who We’re Looking For

And for this role, we are looking for someone who is/has:
- Professionally Qualified Engineer (e.g. UK minimum HND/foundation degree or other national equivalent).
- General understanding of manufacturing processes, processes, assembly, disassembly and repair processes relevant to MRO.
- Well organised, good communication skills and comfortable working with ambiguity.
- Experience gained within MRO would be beneficial.
