Job Title: Director for Global Procurement

Salary: £72,100 - £99,100

Location: Cambridge (Hybrid working arrangement available)

Contract: Permanent, Full time (35 hours per week)

About The Role

Are you ready to lead a transformative journey in global procurement? As our Director for Global Procurement, you'll be at the forefront of our mission to drive value and sustainability across our global operations. You'll lead a collaborative and innovative team, ensuring we meet product needs while leveraging our global scale. Your leadership will balance quality, service, and sustainability, and you'll define forward-thinking policies to keep us ahead in procurement and Sales & Order Processing (S+OP).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Global Procurement: Lead and inspire our procurement team to achieve the best value for all spend. Develop and own global strategies, manage tender and contract negotiations, and ensure adherence to standard operating processes across our global locations.
  • Sales & Order Processing: Innovate and lead processes to build an efficient S+OP system, ensuring global roll-out and adherence to inventory policies and customer satisfaction.
  • Environmental Development and Compliance: Support our Carbon Neutral Strategy and Planning, ensuring we meet our 2050 neutrality goals and maintain ISO14000 compliance.
  • Leadership and Culture: Be a strategic and operational leader, inspiring and motivating your team, fostering innovation and cross-functional collaboration.

About You

You're a visionary leader with a solid grasp of key business principles, risk management, and project management. Your excellent communication, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills set you apart. You have a proven track record of working closely with business stakeholders in a global organisation, managing geographically dispersed teams, and using business analysis tools. A degree-level education and an MBA are essential.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Proven procurement strategy experience. Global experience is a plus.
  • Strong risk and project management skills.
  • Leadership of geographically dispersed teams.
  • Proficiency in business analysis tools.
  • Familiarity with Agile and traditional project methodologies.
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience of working within an ERP environment.
  • Experience in leading procurement transformation initiatives.
