What will this role achieve?


Reporting into the Director of Engineering & Investments (UK&I) You as the draftsperson will be responsible for the creation and alteration of site construction sketches of our manufacturing sites, calculating dimensions, weight limitations and requirements in materials to ensure meticulous drawings are produced and become a consistent approach across our sites.


What will be your key deliverables?


  • Creating and altering construction sketches
  • Management and organization of all Emergent CAD drawings
  • Printing of CAD drawings in various formats and packages and delivering them to the correct contact in a timely manner
  • Liaise with engineers to gather product and structural requirements and designs
  • Create detailed designs with computer-aided design (CAD) software
  • Design diagrams, maps and layouts to illustrate workflow.
  • Ensuring final designs comply with regulations and quality standards.
  • Following specifications and calculations to create various technical drawings
  • Preparing both rough sketches and detailed work with CADD systems
  • Identifying and communicating potential design problems to project team
  • Organisation and uploading drawings to web-based storage sites/collaboration project sites to share drawings with project managers and sub-contractors

Essential


  • Experience in industrial construction project management (with Biscuits, Confectionary or FMCG operation, Pharmaceutical or Healthcare field) is preferable
  • Proven working experience for minimum 5 years as a Draftsperson or similar role
  • Outstanding fluency and skill within the AutoCad program
  • Ability to work well in a team and on own
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Advanced MS Office and MS Project Planning skills
  • Experience in document control systems and project report generation
  • Achievement focussed and able to work in a direct and often pressurised environment. Entrepreneurial skills in terms of innovation and problem solving are key along with tenacity, tough-mindedness and ability to influence and demonstrate strong team working abilities and commitment
  • A passion for doing high quality work and High attention to detail
  • The ability to think critically, innovate, and solve challenging technical problems
