Hours of Work: 7.00 to 16.30 Mon to Thurs 7.00 to 12.00 midday Friday

From troubleshooting to planned preventive maintenance (PPM) the
electrical engineer is a role where you will use your problem-solving skills and technical expertise every day to maintain the efficient operation of our production machines and mechanical equipment.
Responsibilities
- Prompt response to machine breakdowns
- Fault-finding
- Maintaining electric/water/air services and the fabric of the building
- Design and manufacture/fabrication of jigs and fixtures
- Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Essential
Skills, experience and abilities required:
- Minimum NVQ level 3 or equivalent in an electrical discipline
- Analytical, planning and organisational skills.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes.
- Interpersonal and communications skills English oral & written.
- ProtoTRAK CNC mill controls or similar and GE Fanuc series Oi CNC Lathe controls or similar
- PLCs (programmable logic controllers)
Desirable
- City and Guilds 2330 electrical installation
- NVQ Electrical Installation
- 17th BS7671:2008
- Knowledge of lean tools and applications
Physical Demands
- Lifting, carrying, pushing and / or pulling, stooping, kneeling, crouching and / or crawling, standing, sitting, significant fine finger dexterity.
