Purpose of the Role
To oversee and manage a team of electricians on a number of programmes of work to be completed across the South East region.
The Role
This is a permanent job role.
Contracted to 40hrs per week Monday to Friday. Paid hourly, with overtime paid. Overtime during the weekends paid at inflated rate.
You will be paid your travel time door to door, on top of your contracted and overtime hours.
Company van provided, with fuel card issued.
- To be responsible for supervising electrical installations in accordance with BS7671 and Bridges Health & Safety Rules and Essential Standards
- Ensure that all items are installed to the highest standards, in compliance with the project's quality plan and inspection and test plans
- To follow and actively promote the STAR dynamic risk assessment and to be empowered to stop work should unsafe circumstances arise
- To coach and mentor Electricians, Electrical Improvers/Mates and Apprentices
- Promote and demonstrate the Bridges' values when dealing with peers, staff, customers and clients
- Promote positive health and wellbeing amongst their peer
- To act in a professional manner and be an ambassador for Bridges, supporting the business goals and maintaining the company's positive reputation
Requirements
- ECS gold card (essential)
- SSSTS / SMSTS (essential)
- Experience as an Electrical Supervisor, site managing electrical projects
- Experience within water / heavy industrial industries
- Able to manage own and others workload
- Appropriate City & Guilds trade Qualification
- Relevant H&S certificate
- Full UK driving licence
- Fit to work medical
