Department Summary
We are a passionate team of creatives, designers, animators, and developers, brought together under one roof. Our in-house creative production capabilities cover everything from concepting, copywriting, design, pre-production & post-production, to the final delivery of optimised assets. We’re at the heart of our wider agency team, acting as brand guardians and always maintaining a high bar for the work we do. We have a powerful network, too. We work with Hogarth Worldwide to tap into other production innovations to help our clients navigate the ever-changing world of today’s content experience.
What does an Email Developer do at mFuse?
We are looking for a mid-weight Email Developer who can accurately code html emails from designs, and test across multiple email clients. Working closely with designers to ensure the emails match as closely as possible to the designs. To be able to put forward solutions and suggestions on how emails can be optimised and to think innovatively about ways of pushing the envelope.
Responsibilities
- Utilize HTML/CSS and email marketing best practices to create and code interactive experiences for email.
- Develop/modify email templates and existing campaigns.
- Contribute to the continued modernisation and evolution of the brand.
- Apply the best practices in email development, email compliance regulations, and accessibility.
- Set up, test, and launch complex email campaigns with dynamic content.
- Perform QA.
- Ensure identical rendering across browsers, ESPs, and devices.
- Troubleshoot HTML, CSS, and other performance issues.
- Proactively work with teammates to improve processes and work methods for greater efficiency.
- Optimise images to ensure email weight is kept to a minimum.

Sandra Cubacub – Operations Director, Head of Creative Production, mFuse (London)
Mickey Brooks – Operations Director, Hogarth (London)
You will work closely with the Creative Production team and day-to-day work will be overseen and managed by our Lead HTML Developer.
Requirements
- Relevant email development work experience.
- Advanced knowledge and understanding of HTML/CSS.
- Proficient in responsive email design.
- Experience using Adobe Photoshop, Adobe XD.
- Working knowledge of SQL and AMPscript is a huge plus.
- Knowledgeable of email compliance regulations.
- Familiarity with email marketing and marketing automation technology.
- Some experience of using Klaviyo useful but not required.
- Some experience in building landing pages/websites useful but not required.
