We have a fantastic opportunity for an Employee Relations (ER) Partner to join our People Team, based in London or Copenhagen. This is an exciting new role that is being introduced in line with the evolution of our People Partnering operating model, and to support the needs of our growing workforce. The role will primarily support the resolution of ER matters across our 10 international locations, while promoting a culture of accountability and values-driven behaviour.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead case management of various types of ER matters including but not limited to disciplinary matters, grievances, investigations into policy breaches and other cases raised through our speaking up platform;
- Provide expert counsel to line managers to manage long-term sickness and underperformance cases;
- Develop and maintain a repository of country specific ER guidance and expertise, including toolkits, templates and process documentation;
- Ensure cases are tracked and logged appropriately, producing reporting for audit purposes;
- Share high risk cases and trends/insight with People Partners on ER matters to influence the design and delivery of relevant people interventions e.g. delivering workshops and training to develop line management capability;
- Work regularly with our Legal team and external legal counsel to obtain employment-related advice as required;
- Advise People Partners on how to handle reorganisations across regions, understanding change and people impacts, and managing risk appropriately;
- Advise and support People Partners to execute on sensitive and complex severance, redundancy and settlement documentation;
- Provide mediation and/or conflict resolution support on ER cases as needed; and
- Work with our People Operations and Legal teams to develop and maintain our Employee Handbooks and people-related policies across each region.
Who You Are
- Demonstrable experience in an Employee Relations role, ideally in a global or tech business.
- Solid working knowledge of current UK and/or Danish employment laws and practice, with a desire to broaden their global ER expertise. Knowledge of employment laws and practice in our other global locations (US, Italy, The Netherlands, Germany, Lithuania and Australia) would be advantageous, but not essential.
- Demonstrated ability to thrive in a rapidly changing environment and who are resilient and self-motivated.
- Confidence and ability to manage challenging conversations with both empathy and professionalism.
- An ability to maintain confidentiality on sensitive matters and build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- A fun, dynamic and positive personality, with excellent communication skills who remains calm under pressure.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Effective time management to ensure cases are managed in a timely manner.
- An ability to work independently and take ownership of deliverables in a fast-paced, global organisation, while maintaining close contact with stakeholders across multiple locations.
- Team-orientated, flexible and enthusiastic with a can-do approach.
- Fluency in English as this is our global business language.
