A vacancy has arisen for an ERTMS Maintenance Instructor within Freightliner who will work within the European Rail Traffic Management System (ERTMS) Project Team. The candidate will report to the ERTMS Project Engineer and will work alongside their respective VMFs in supporting the rollout of ETCS on Freightliner's fleet of locomotives.
Key Responsibilities include
- Development of ETCS Traction Maintenance training material, support the ERTMS Freight Fitment Programme in the development and assurance of ETCS, and TPWS four traction maintenance material. Apply localisation to the supplied generic training material to align with internal Freightliner training requirements and standards. Upload, co-ordinate, and integrate training material with Freightliner's online Learning Management System. Evaluate all training material after implementation phase is complete. Conduct follow-up changes where required. Upload training material with Freightliner's Competency Management Framework
- Delivery of ETCS Traction Maintenance training material: Deliver ETCS and TPWS four training to maintenance staff through the use of various training tools, such as ETCS maintenance rigs, online Learning Management Systems, and fitted vehicles. Manage and track technician training requirements and overall progress. Ensure all required staff are trained and assessed to enable Freightliner to facilitate key ERTMS programme milestones
The ideal candidates will ideally possess the following skills and attributes
- Familiarity of industry authoring tools for the creation of digital training content
- A proven technical training background in rolling stock, preferably electric traction locomotives (Class 66v, Class 90, Class 86)
- Ability to produce quality training materials including classroom delivery, training aids, safety briefs and other technical documentation as and when required
- The successful candidate will hold Level 3 Learning & Development qualification
- Clean Class B Driving licens
