We are hiring! An exciting opportunity for an Estimator has arisen and we would like to hear from you.
The Estimator/Senior Estimator is an integral member of the Work Winning Team; being responsible for the effective and efficient securing of suitable work for the Business. It is expected that they will act in a professional and responsible way at all times maintaining good working relations with client, designers, site management, our chain of sub-contractors, and suppliers.
Experience
VolkerGroundEngineering are looking for the following:
- Piling
- Geotechnical
- Estimating
- Reside in North West.
- Role full time in Preston HQ but will need to travel to meet clients etc.
- Role will involve provided tenders for Steel and concrete piling.
About You
- Foundation Degree / BTEC/ 2nd year Apprentice / Degree in Civil Engineering.
- Minimum of 1 years of varied site experience in Civil Engineering.
- Work in a Team Environment
- Logical and well organised with ability to prioritise
- Numerate and accurate
- Commercial Awareness (including risk management)
- Presentation skills – Written and Verbal
- Positive response to pressure
- Technically competent
- Proficient computer use – Microsoft Office and Project
- Negotiation skills
- Customer awareness
- Time management skills
- Flexibility and motivation / commitment
- Gains colleagues and customers respect for their views
