Responsibilities
Purpose of Position (Summary):
- This position will be responsible for the development of Fixed Gas and Flame detection sales in the assigned sales area, covering sales of all Best-Mix FGFD- product lines.
- The aim of the role is to maintain and grow the customer base and business level in UK. To work closely with Channel partners, driving the sales process across all MSA sales channels to win identified projects.
- The role focuses selling in to target market segments whilst concentrating on developing sales of Gas Detectors, Flame Detectors, Fire & Gas Systems, and associated ancillaries. As a result, MSA gains a greater penetration into the available market with increased sales and profitability.
- Key responsibilities:
- Implement sales strategy as directed by sales lead
- Represent MSA FGFD business both directly to selected End user customers and indirectly via selected Channel Partners
- Identify and qualify new business opportunities for FGFD products within specified region
- Maintain the MSA CRM package for base business and projects
- Provide monthly feedback on market movements and competition activity where appropriate
- Promote Service offering to both existing and new customers
- Identify larger opportunities via EPC and system integrators
- Monitor long term investments into key markets and evaluate potential for FGFD Products
- Liaise with customer support staff /technical support functions
- Demonstrate commercial acumen to protect margin and drive efficiency
- Provide feedback to BDM regarding development of Hydrogen Market
- Organize site surveys where needed and liaise with third part providers
- Act all times with integrity and in accordance with MSA policy

Major Responsibilities:

Supporting customers in the FGFD segment.
- Customer potential analysis, customer visits, consulting, preparing quotations, project coordination with internal specialist departments and external suppliers, order negotiations, coordination with service department in relation to commissioning and after sales contracts, general customer support in cooperation with the sales support team, giving customer presentations and attending trade fairs.
- Well experiences with FEED- and EPC contractors and well experiences with international projects and the requirements for that.

Identify customer’s needs and problems and work with inside sales on project solutions
- Identify customer wants, needs and problems and ensure that customer’s requirements are met
- Identify and focus on best customers/segments in terms of profitability and potential
- Identify new customers and partnerships with systems integrators and design institutes (NII)
- Define Best solutions/services with inside sales and service department for target customers/segments identified
- Obtain information and report to global and European team on competitor’s activities such as product offerings, prices, sales channels, strategies, etc.
- Ensure, that customers product issues are addressed and solved in a prompt time scale
- Leverage customer satisfaction through increased focus on providing after sales service and solving warranty claims

Qualifications
High Level Requirements of Position:
Experience (required):
- A minimum of 5 years in direct sales experience in Fire & Gas Detection or Safety PPE products
- Comprehensive understanding of current industry technical standards and practices
- Written & spoken English
Experience (preferred):
- Ability to meet deadlines through good time management and allocation or priorities
- Written & spoken English
Education (required):
- University degree (Bachelors), Engineering (Electronics or Instrumentation)
Education (preferred):
- Bachelor of engineering and economics
