Responsibilities / Tasks
This position is open to candidates based anywhere within the UK and will involve frequent travel across the country to customer sites.

- Maintenance of vertical baggers, packaging machinery (thermoformers) and other various equipment across the GEA portfolio range within the UK and Ireland.
- Assist with converting enquiries into sales, ensuring timely and accurate information to customers.
- Self-manage the coordination of maintenance activities and upgrades for bagging and packaging equipment, always prioritizing customer needs.
- Take direction from the back office service coordinator and manage service operations on-site while keeping customer satisfaction a top priority.
- Be available for on-call duties, including 24/7 availability as required, providing responsive support to customers as needed.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, ensuring a customer-focused approach to problem-solving and service delivery.
- Address customer concerns promptly, acting as the key point of contact for any technical issues or maintenance needs.
- Drive the sales of spare parts, maintenance services, and upgrades in line with customer expectations and company targets.
- Stay current with health and safety regulations in the UK and Ireland, ensuring all work meets regulatory and customer standards.
- Foster a culture of trust, communication, accountability, recognition, and development, both individually and within the team, with a focus on exceeding customer expectations.
Your Profile / Qualifications
- NVQ3, HNC or HND in Electrical Engineering with Mechanical Engineering experience.
- Self-confidence and assurance in handling complex technical tasks.
- Strong planning, organizational, and coordination skills.
- Excellent networking and relationship-building skills, with a customer-first approach.
- Analytical and technically inclined with the ability to troubleshoot and solve issues efficiently.
- Professional, friendly, and approachable demeanor when interacting with customers and team members.
- Positive attitude with the ability to evaluate situations dynamically and work on solutions.
