Job title: Flight Systems Engineer – Crew Systems

Location: Warton, Brough or Prestwick. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role.

Salary: £47,683 depending on skills and experience

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Supporting the Technical Leads within Crew Systems
  • To ensure the system documentation is maintained current, accurate, consistent and complete and is readily available, i.e. stored in the designated toolset / location
  • To support the co-ordination and management of all appropriate activities within the Crew Systems and the team members performing those activities
  • The role will be technical and include addressing aspects of the Life Cycle Management of the Crew Systems
  • To develop and supply a technical expertise in the engineering specification, development, clearance and support of the Crew Systems.
  • To develop specialist knowledge within that field for application of developing system maturity and resolving system problems.
  • Working effectively as a team member within a team of engineers with minimum supervision and awareness of the business drivers in respect of cost, quality and programme schedule

Your Skills And Experiences

  • Knowledge of Flight Systems, Typhoon, Hawk, F-35 and/or Tornado Product and processes would be an advantage
  • degree/HND qualified standard in an Engineering discipline or equivalent experience in a Systems Engineering related role
  • Technical report writing, analysing
  • Interaction with external agencies
  • Supplier / Supply Chain Management
  • Experience in the role of design, developing and supporting engineering products would be an advantage

The Flight Systems Team

The Flight Systems team at Brough, Warton and Prestwick is a multi-disciplinary team of highly skilled engineers responsible for the design, specification, development, testing, safety and through life support of the aircraft mechanical and electrical generation systems. The team also provides support to new business proposals as well as close working with, and management of, specialist suppliers of components for aircraft systems and their associated support equipment.
