Role description:
The Global Business Analyst is part of group FP&A (Financial Planning & Analysis) team and will play a pivotal role in driving strategic decision-making processes by analysing financial data, creating insightful reports, and ensuring quality reporting for Group Controller, ELT and Investor Relations.
The dynamics in Arcadis are big. The company has ambitious growth plans, both organically and via acquisitions. This dynamic environment challenges the financial department to combine day-to-day business with continuous process improvement, integration of new entities and due diligence of potential acquisitions. The Global Business Analyst will become part of a dedicated team of finance professionals supporting senior management in successfully moving Arcadis into the next growth phase.
Reporting lines: Global Business Analyst Director
Role accountabilities:
- Support the Global Business Analyst Director with analysis of monthly and quarterly results and contribution to monthly and quarterly decks.
- Supports with validation, review and analysis of performance including value-adding insights for the BAs and subject matter assigned
- Works closely with Business Areas (BAs) to review and understand performance including submission requirements to ensure timely reporting and consistent approach across BAs and Global Business Areas (GBAs).
- Support BA and GBA teams in improving the quality of the management reports and business analysis, ensuring standard and central reporting is used. Facilitate knowledge sharing between operating companies and Corporate and cross operating companies on finance related matters
- Supports production of reports to be issued to various stakeholders, including Investor Relations, GBAs, Growth Teams and wider Finance community.
- Supports with validation to ensure consistency of financial information across reporting platforms (OneStream, Power BI, Oracle).
- Partner with cross-functional teams, including GBAs, BI&A, EF, project management and Growth teams to understand and address business needs.
- Performs reporting platform tests (OneStream) to support updates and improvements on process workflows
- Supports in identifying areas to increase efficiency and automation of processes with a continuous improvement mindset.
- Support the quarterly Forecast and annual Budgeting cycles led by the Global FP&A team.
- Companywide analysis to understand current and future business performance.
- Conduct scenario analysis and sensitivity testing to support business decision
- Supports Global FP&A with ad hoc analysis as required.
Qualifications & Experience:
- The candidate should have a minimum of 3 years of experience, ideally in a role that requires business / data analysis, financial planning and management reporting.
- The ideal candidate will be a recently qualified accountant, or part qualified and close to completion of studies, although we welcome applicants with an alternative qualification structure if suitable for the role.

- Resilient and willingness to work flexible hours based on business needs.
- IT literate with ERP, forecasting and Planning tool experience preferable
- Native language: unspecified, but fluency in English is a must
