The Vacancy
We are looking for someone to join our Facilities team at our Head Office in Basingstoke. This is a varied role where you will process all incoming and outgoing shipments, and also provide support to the ongoing maintenance of our building, to ensure the best working environment for our employees.

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will work within a small team and will receive additional training to develop your skills where needed.
Key Responsibilities
A key part of the role is to process all incoming and outgoing shipments ensuring:
- accurate records are documented
- items are delivered to recipients and signatures obtained
- goods in is kept tidy and in order
In Addition To This, You Will Support The Maintenance Supervisor Ensuring The Building Is Appropriately Maintained, These Tasks Include But Are Not Limited To
- carrying out basic maintenance tasks as and when required
- carrying out regular daily & weekly tasks – emptying shredding bins, toner checks, tap checks etc
- carrying out any customer related tasks – filing, packing, box movements, shipping containers, desk moves etc
- provide support during emergency situations (e.g. fire alarms)
- maintaining good housekeeping across the site
Once trained, you will also support/cover the Reception and Post Room roles if/and when necessary, which includes:
- welcoming all staff, visitors and guests
- answering incoming calls to switchboard and redirecting as appropriate
- assisting with booking meeting rooms, taxi’s etc
- incoming/outgoing post
Contract type: Permanent
Working hours: Full Time – 36.5 hrs per week
Base location: Basingstoke, Hampshire
Skills, Qualifications & Experience
- good Microsoft Office skills (with willingness to learn new areas)
- forklift truck licence (ideal but not a requirement as we will provide training)
- general maintenance experience
- great telephone manner
- keen to deliver high standards of customer care with great customer service skills
- excellent communication skills in order to be able to make customers feel welcome
- good organisational skills
- this is a customer facing role so individual should have neat/smart appearance
- takes responsibility for own actions
- is reliable and self-motivated, with a willingness to support their team
- ability to understand and comply with business security and safety procedures
