Your Role
This role is responsible for the day to day operational functionality of a department within the Defence Fulfilment Centre, ensuring all H&S standards, accuracy and delivery KPI’s are met.
Your Responsibilities
- Manage Warehouse Administrator to ensure all operational system requirements are met.
- Plan the daily work load and ensure that time and attendance matters are managed. Monitoring internal and external KPI’s, ensuring that they are met and improved upon
- Building positive customer relationships and responding constructively to customer requests and internal departments.
- Encourages employee participation and effective team working and ensuring employees are involved in the success of the operation through continual feedback and positive communication
- Ensure that MoD JSP requirements are adhered to at all times.
- Maintain controls for returned and damaged stock
- Able to deploy stock across different sites if and when necessary. Able to compile Warehouse Management
- System activity data so as to create weekly reports. Manage resource levels, overtime and agency labour across FC1 & FC2
- Manage various system hygiene tasks across our multi user sites
- Actively contribute towards continuous improvement projects and ideas. Operate to trained work instructions e.g. ABC Modules/ WI
- Comply with all instructed Safe Working Practices including the reporting of all accidents and incidents within the workplace
Your Skills And Experiences
- Previous supervisory experience is preferred
- Experience of working to agreed targets
- Preferred experience (not essential) of JDA[Despatcher]
- Intermediate PC Skills: Excel, Word, Outlook
- Understanding of warehouse practices e.g. picking, loading
- Ability to work individually or as part of a team. Ability to deliver to tight deadlines in an organised and informed manner
- Leadership qualities including the ability to enthuse and motivate
- Reliable and committed to attending work on time
- Good Communication skills. Strong organisation skills
- Ability to achieve a high level of accuracy
- Analytical & problem solving skills; High attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Flexible approach to working hours, including weekends when required
