What You'll Do As a Goods-in/ Mechanical Inspector
This role will combine 2 key responsibilities
Goods-in Inspector
- Inspect and verify all incoming goods, materials, and components against specifications, drawings, and documentation.
- Ensure that the correct quality standards, part numbers, and certifications are in place.
- Identify and report any discrepancies or non-conformities with received items.
- Maintain accurate records and support inventory and logistics teams to resolve quality issues.
Mechanical Inspector
- Perform detailed inspections of mechanical components and assemblies, using precision measurement tools (e.g., micrometres, callipers, CMM, 3D Scanner).
- Review engineering drawings and specifications to ensure components meet the required tolerances and design standards.
- Measure mechanical parts to confirm that they meet functionality and safety criteria.
- Document inspection results, identify defects, and report non-conformances, providing support to engineering teams for corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements for all mechanical parts.
What We Need From You
- Experience Previous experience in a quality control or inspection role, preferably in mechanical inspection or goods-in processes within an engineering or manufacturing environment.
- Technical Skills Proficiency in using mechanical inspection tools and equipment (e.g., callipers, micrometres, height gauges).
- Attention to Detail A keen eye for detail with a focus on ensuring the highest standards of accuracy and quality.
- Problem-Solving Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify defects, discrepancies, and resolve issues efficiently.
- Communication Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively report findings and collaborate with team members and suppliers.
- Team Player Ability to work collaboratively within cross-functional teams and foster good working relationships.
