About The Role
Picture this – it’s 2027, and you’ve just completed your final rotation on the NCC’s engineering grad scheme. You joined the NCC thinking that you would be a design engineer but now you’re leading a major project on our sustainability programme. You’ve just discovered who you are as an engineer.
For some people, 2 years of shadowing someone and going through the motions of career development will be enough. These aren’t NCC people. Our objective is to develop you into a well-rounded composite engineer who can choose to specialise in their preferred area. It takes a certain type of person to make the most of this opportunity. If you’re proactive and want to take charge of your career this could be you.
Imagine an environment where you’re working on the next generation of aircraft wing one month and a Paralympian project the next. We work across a variety of sectors, from renewable energy to construction and everything in between.
The NCC is leading the way in Digital and Sustainability with the DETI Programme and the Sustainable Composites initiative. This means that you’ll be working at the forefront of new technologies and re-imagining the way engineering works.
How would it feel to be truly recognised? Our people are our most important asset and we work hard to keep them engaged. We’re careful to look after your welfare, so our flexible working hours give you plenty of time to experience all that Bristol has to offer. It’s a city which regularly tops the ‘best place to live in Britain’ list and has something for everyone.
It’s the NCC experience that makes our graduates some of the most sought after in industry. If you genuinely want to work in the composites industry (and we’ll be able to tell) then the NCC is the place for you.
Leave your preconceived notions of who you are as an engineer at the door, find your true engineering self at the NCC.
The Details
To join us, you’ll need a degree in a relevant field such as material science, mechanical engineering, product design, or textile technology.
Our graduate programme lasts two years, during which you’ll complete four six-month rotations. These rotations ensure you gain experience in Design, Make, Evaluate, and Project Management. The programme is supported by a structured training framework that includes both technical and personal development courses.
There is also an option to join as a direct-entry graduate, allowing you to specialise and develop within a specific area of the business.
You’ll receive a competitive starting salary along with a welcome bonus.
