We are currently seeking a Geo-Environmental Consultant at Graduate or Consultant level to join our growing Geo-Environmental Consultancy team based in our Birmingham office.
What you need to do to be effective in this role
- Assist with the delivery of Phase 1 reports, Geo-Environmental and Geotechnical ground investigations and Phase 2 reporting.
- Logging of soil and rock samples.
- Working independently to ensure technical quality, budget compliance, and adherence to project schedules.
- Undertaking site monitoring including groundwater, surface water and ground-gas.
- Monitoring and validation of earthworks and remediation including contribution to validation reporting.
This role offers the opportunity to contribute to a diverse portfolio of projects, primarily focused on redeveloping brownfield sites. The skills and experience you need to have for this role
- Relevant degree in Geology, Environmental Science - postgraduate degree desirable.
- Excellent communication and report writing skills.
- Willingness to research and keep up to date with current contamination topics & legislation.
- Ideally knowledge of asbestos regulations and associated testing and risk assessment.
- Geotechnical knowledge, logging soils and rocks etc.
- Experience of earthworks is desirable but not essential.
- Full driving licence.
