We are currently seeking a Geo-Environmental Consultant at Graduate or Consultant level to join our growing Geo-Environmental Consultancy team based in our Birmingham office.

What you need to do to be effective in this role

• Assist with the delivery of Phase 1 reports, Geo-Environmental and Geotechnical ground investigations and Phase 2 reporting.
• Logging of soil and rock samples.
• Working independently to ensure technical quality, budget compliance, and adherence to project schedules.
• Undertaking site monitoring including groundwater, surface water and ground-gas.
• Monitoring and validation of earthworks and remediation including contribution to validation reporting.

The skills and experience you need to have for this role

• Relevant degree in Geology, Environmental Science - postgraduate degree desirable.
• Excellent communication and report writing skills.
• Willingness to research and keep up to date with current contamination topics & legislation.
• Ideally knowledge of asbestos regulations and associated testing and risk assessment.
• Geotechnical knowledge, logging soils and rocks etc.
• Experience of earthworks is desirable but not essential.
• Full driving licence.
