Description

We are looking for an enthusiastic, creative, highly organised Graphic Designer, with established commercial experience, a passion for brand building, and a wide knowledge across a range of graphic design formats, platforms and technologies. We value candidates with a genuine enthusiasm for embracing new projects, collaborating with diverse teams, and rapidly establishing relationships. Individuals with an enthusiastic and determined attitude, coupled with a calm and consistent approach, are highly appreciated.

The successful candidate will be a member of Aurora's Design Team within the Marketing Department and will work alongside colleagues of all levels. Pragmatism and quick-thinking are vital for this role, together with the mindset to make processes more effective and efficient. Along with our Graphic Designers, you will work with our Marketing, Software and Events teams on designing striking and effective marketing materials.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create and support the development of Aurora's brand strategy, elevating visual identity and brand perception
  • Produce effective and engaging layouts, designs across a multitude of platforms
  • Attention to detail which is second to none - you take pride in completing work to the highest possible standard
  • Complete design projects, from conception to delivery
  • Refine images, fonts and layouts
  • Generate ideas to portray concepts
  • Maintain brand consistency throughout projects
  • Liaise with producers, work alongside our Marketing and Graphic Design team to ensure deadlines & milestones are met
  • Stay up to date with industry developments and tools

What We Are Looking For

Knowledge & Experience

  • 2 to 4 years of Graphic Design experience within a commercial environment
  • Strong technical knowledge, coupled with a creative flair for design and layout
  • Experience working on commercial projects
  • A portfolio of work that demonstrates knowledge of creative concepts, graphical composition, typography, colour and layout
  • Highly experienced in the Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop & Illustrator)
  • Some knowledge of Premiere Pro (video editing) & After Effects, but not essential
  • Excellent creative skills with a great eye for detail, and ideas to promote a brand in contemporary and stylish ways
  • Experience of designing creative projects for both online and print, working to a high quality and on time
  • An excellent understanding of marketing principles
  • Enthusiastic, energetic and highly organised, with exceptional attention to detail
  • Able to multi-task and re-prioritise in a fast-paced and demanding environment
  • Professional, excellent communication skills, able to build relationships at all levels
  • Able to work on own initiative and to deadlines
  • Education: A Degree or Diploma in Graphic Design

Skills & Attributes

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities (oral and written), including active listening skills
  • Able to juggle multiple projects at one time, with different requirements, brand identities, styles
  • Being comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced creative environment – someone who remains calm under pressure
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Desire to take ownership of assigned projects and can work independently
  • Being able to take advise and feedback from Senior Graphic Designers, and work with senior stakeholders
