We are looking for a passionate and skilled Hard Services FM Operations Manager to take charge of our technical building services, and engineering operations, contributing to a high standard of maintenance and operational efficiency at our site.
Role Overview:
As Operations Manager you will report to the Senior Operations Manager, leading a team to deliver essential maintenance, engineering, and compliance support services for critical assets. Your responsibilities will include overseeing Operational, Planned, and Reactive maintenance, ensuring all activities meet the highest standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership: Oversee and support service teams to ensure smooth delivery of Operational, Planned, and Reactive maintenance, along with small works and operational support for critical site assets.
- KPI & Reporting: Manage and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), providing clear, transparent reporting. Conduct Root Cause Analysis on failures and offer mitigations aligned with contractual agreements.
- Maintenance Program Development: Create and implement site maintenance programs for all services and assets to ensure optimal performance.
- Risk Management & Compliance: Work proactively to mitigate operational risks and develop business continuity plans. Collaborate with the Senior Operations Manager, PPM Contracts Manager, and Compliance Manager to uphold statutory and technical compliance.
- Budget Management: Control engineering budgets within defined limits, ensuring efficient resource allocation.
- Action Plan Implementation: Develop and execute action plans based on audit findings to enhance site safety and efficiency.
- Energy Optimization: Optimize the use of energy and utilities within assets to ensure cost-effective operation.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Experience: Proven experience in a similar Hard Services Operations Management or Facilities Management role, leading teams of multi-disciplined Engineers/Technicians
- Technical Knowledge: Experience of open and closed protocol BMS systems (Johnson, Honeywell, Satchwell etc.), network based fire alarm, CCTV, access control systems, IDS, PA/VA and other electronic building services. Experience of complex electrical distribution private networks up to 11KV and associated large standby generator and UPS systems, large air conditioning plant, BMS and complex fire and security systems
- Problem Solving & Teamwork: Strong collaborative skills with a proactive approach to troubleshooting and issue resolution.
- Multitasking Ability: Able to manage multiple services simultaneously, meeting Client SLAs and expectations.
- Education: NVQ 2/3/4, ONC/D, HNC, or equivalent in an electrical/mechanical discipline.
