Head of Corporate Strategy and Performance
Permanent role (paying between the range of £90,000 - £100,000 PA + benefits)
Hybrid (2 days on-site in Basingstoke or 1 day in Basingstoke and 1 day in their London office)
Our client, a leading housing association, is seeking a Head of Corporate Strategy and Performance to lead the development, monitoring, and execution of their corporate plan. This pivotal role will drive continuous improvement and lead initiatives that enhance performance to achieve corporate objectives and KPIs.
You will be responsible for embedding a strategy execution framework, ensuring that all business areas are aligned with the corporate plan and driving a culture of accountability and high performance.
Your responsibilities are but not limited to:
• Design and implement the framework to translate the corporate strategy into clear delivery plans, objectives, and KPIs aligned to the organisation’s needs.
• Lead the annual delivery planning process and quarterly review sessions, collaborating with Finance, PMO, Risk & Assurance, and other stakeholders.
• Oversee the policy framework to ensure effective governance and regular performance evaluation.
• Develop financial models with business stakeholders to ensure the strategy’s financial viability, producing financial targets and KPIs.
• Report on corporate plan progress to executive and senior leadership teams, continuously refining the strategy to meet evolving business dynamics.
• Monitor and manage risks impacting strategic objectives and delivery of the corporate plan.
• Establish effective mechanisms to evaluate directorate delivery plans, emerging industry trends, and strategic initiatives.
• Manage and lead the Corporate Strategy & Performance function, ensuring the team’s effective operation, prioritisation, and resource allocation.
• Provide clear leadership and foster a culture of inclusion, employee wellbeing, and continuous improvement within the team.
• Promote the organisation’s values, health, safety, and wellbeing, guiding the team to contribute to organisational success.
Ideally, you will have significant experience developing and executing strategic plans, working with senior stakeholders, and leading cross-functional teams. Strong analytical and communication skills are essential, alongside the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver results.
