Head of Enterprise Risk

InterQuest are currently supporting a growing challenger bank in identifying Head of ERM the role would join a dynamic team focused on empowering SMEs, through innovative cloud-based banking solutions.

The role would will manage second-line risk activities, including Climate Risk and ESG, and embed risk frameworks across the bank. This would be a fantastic opportunity to join a new and growing challenger and really put your mark on how the bank manage risk management.

The bank value in person interaction and would be full time in their offices in Glasgow.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and manage risk frameworks and support operational risk stress testing.
• Lead strategic projects and develop the bank’s Climate Risk and ESG strategies.
• Oversee the second-line risk function, ERC, and BRC, enhancing risk culture and governance.
• Collaborate with executives to monitor and escalate strategic risks.
• Coordinate SMCR requirements and act as risk lead on key projects.

To be considered you would need:

• Strong background in Operational/Enteprise Risk
• Experience within commercial banking and ideally Small to Medium Enterprise lending
• Good knowledge of climate risk and ESG
