Your new role

To provide expert leadership in planning, developing, and delivering professional Estates Management services. Support the growth, management, and execution of these estates’ services. Oversee staff responsible for service delivery and support within the department. Ensure the Council achieves optimal service outcomes in terms of cost efficiency. Lead the provision of high-quality, cost-effective, and compliant estate management that benefit both residents and the Council. Enhance revenue streams across the property portfolio through rent renewals and the development of revenue optimisation strategies.



What you'll need to succeed

Extensive experience in managing estates and commercial portfolios within similarly complex public sector organisations.

Proven leadership and effective management skills in estate management environments.

High level of commercial awareness, reactive and customer focused.

In-depth knowledge of national policy, regulatory guidelines, and statutory compliance requirements for estates management in large public sector organisations.

Thorough understanding of landlord and tenant legislation, valuation principles, property and planning law, and general estate management principles.

Strong financial acumen with expertise in budgeting, forecasting, and cost management. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, adept at building relationships with diverse stakeholders.

Demonstrated leadership abilities, including team management, strategic thinking, and decision-making skills. Proven self-sufficiency and taking initiative.
