Head Of HR, Global & Segment Functions

Huhtamaki currently have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced HR leader to join our global HR Operations team as a Head of HR, Global and Segment functions.

As Head of HR, Global & Segment functions you will lead our talented team of HR business partners and Talent acquisition professionals. Together with the team, this role supports people leaders on a tactical and relevant strategic level to achieve functional talent objectives.

In addition, the successful candidate will act as Project manager for HR operating model development in the spirit of continuous improvement.

Reporting to the VP HR Operations, you will be a key member of our global HR Operations Leadership Team, working closely across the HR organization and with stakeholders in businesses and functions.

This role can be based from any of our European sites on a hybrid basis - these include - Espoo, Finland, or any of our sites in the UK, Netherlands, Germany, France, Spain, Italy, among others.

Key Responsibilities Include

As HR business partner to segment/global functional business leaders:

  • Provide expertise on various people topics to senior leaders, including talent acquisition, workforce planning and resourcing, organizational and talent development, performance management and compliance.
  • Support organization design, reorganization, productivity improvement, other operating model or transformation projects and change management initiatives in alignment to functions operating model or business need.
  • Coach assigned managers on implementation of all annual people processes and drive alignment, consistency, and similar employee experience across the teams
  • Support talent development initiatives to meet the capability needs for today and tomorrow and make sure initiatives promote Huhtamaki learning culture and are aligned to our Leaders’ Imprint. Align talent needs to Huhtamaki people strategy and HR roadmap as well as to the functional needs.

Lead a team of HR business partners and centralized Talent Acquisition and drive operating model and service delivery improvement:

  • Lead HR team that provides HR business partnering and specialist TA services to global and segment functional leaders, aligned to HR operating model and to business needs making sure the HR team has the right capabilities and structure. Drive high engagement in the team.
  • Provide input to improve HR services and delivery of people related processes, programs and initiatives, identify requirements in terms of processes and technology development. Actively participate into design and implementation of agreed changes in own area.
  • Support the HR operating model development to streamline and improve service delivery from regions/ countries to functions and work across HR organization to ensure seamless collaboration
  • Act as PM and lead selected improvement project streams to completion together with respective owner for alignment, implementation, impact, reporting and communication. Steer towards the holistic delivery of agreed HR operating model with agreed scope, time and deliverables. Support designing and recommending solutions and drive decisions.

To be successful in this role you would have following skills and qualifications:

  • Relevant degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or equivalent.
  • Experience in HR generalist role and/or Center of Expertise in sizeable, regional or global context
  • Experience of working in a global business environment and matrix organizations
  • Experience in managing and leading HR and people related change initiatives, organization transformations, and operating model projects.
  • Knowledge and experience in Talent Acquisition best practices
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Proactive problem-solving skills and results and service oriented approach
  • Previous experience using Workday is an advantage
  • Fluent in English
  • Excellent communication skills and strong influencing capability
