About the company & role
A global luxury brand which has significant international operations in the leisure & hospitality space are currently seeking a Head of Legal (Construction & Real Estate).
Primarily, this role will be the legal lead supporting the Construction and Design team, overseeing legal issues globally relating to the entire property portfolio, construction projects and any construction disputes.
The role will also support on the real estate and construction aspects of M&A deals the company is undertaking as well as leading on global risk management for these areas also.
As this role reports into both the General Counsel and the Business Lead for Construction (who both are located at the new head office in Central London) it is envisaged that you would want to do at least 3 days per week from this location and therefore it’s advised that you are a suitable commuting distance from the city.

The role will be an ideal step up for someone at Legal/Senior Counsel level looking for a business reporting line and to take on a global scope of work or someone currently working in Private Practice who is motivated and capable to take on a fast-paced, diverse in-house role.
A provisional budget of around £100,000 + bonus (circa 20-25%) has been set as well as significant employee discounts for luxury holidays and other corporate benefits.
About you
To be successful in the role, you would already need strong foundational experience in Construction and Property law, ideally this has been gained in multijurisdictional environments (or if limited to England & Wales you should be very comfortable on tackling the unknown and working with external legal providers for specialist input).
For guidance purposes only, you are likely to have at least 6/7+ years of PQE as a qualified lawyer in England & Wales
