Head of Production Finance – Freelance Role
Day Rate: Up to £400 per day
Employment Type: 4 days per week, 6–9 month commitment.

About the Role
As the Head of Production Finance, you’ll lead the financial operations for an ambitious new creative production set to open in London in 2025. Whether you’re a seasoned Head of Production Finance or a Production Accountant ready for the next step, this role will provide the perfect platform to make your mark in a start-up environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Financial Strategy: Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the company’s mission and goals.
• Cash Flow Management: Oversee budgets, forecasts, and day-to-day cash flow to ensure financial stability.
• Compliance: Ensure adherence to UK financial regulations and manage risk effectively.
• Leadership: Build and lead a small finance team, driving accountability and operational excellence.
• Production Accounting: Manage budgets and reporting for live events and productions, including theatre tax relief.

What We’re Looking For

• Experience: Proven success in a senior finance role, ideally within the creative industries. Background in production finance or live events is highly desirable.
• Expertise: Deep knowledge of UK accounting standards and tax regulations, with hands-on experience managing complex budgets.
• Skills: Strategic thinker with a practical approach, outstanding communication, and exceptional organisational skills.
• Passion: A love for the arts and a commitment to fostering a culture of ambition, playfulness, and trust.
