IBM i / Paladign Developer

Location: Central London

Hybrid: 3 days onsite, 2 days remote

Contract: Freelance, 12+ months

Working hours: Full time

We are seeking a IBM i / Paladign Developer with a strong background in Financial Services and private banking to join our dynamic team. This role focuses on enhancing and maintaining systems on the IBM i platform and utilising Paladign’s update module for streamlined banking operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain applications on the IBM i platform (IBM iSeries, System i, i5, AS/400) using RPG (fixed format and free format) and CL.
• Work confidently within the Paladign environment, especially with the update module.
• Integrate and manage data exchanges using XML, MQ Series, and SFTP (or similar file transfer protocols).
• Optimise database interactions and workflows with SQL.

Requirements:

• 5+ years’ experience in Financial Services, particularly within private banking.
• 5+ years’ expertise with Paladign, including practical knowledge of the update module.
• 5+ years’ development experience on the IBM i platform using RPG (fixed and free format) and CL.
• Proven experience with XML, MQ Series, SFTP, and SQL for seamless data processing and communication.
