Information Technology Operations Manager

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead & Develop: Oversee the operations of our regional Technical Consultant team, ensuring consistent performance through regular contact, monthly 1-to-1s, and Performance Development Reviews (PDRs).
- Optimise IT Operations: Drive operational efficiency by implementing and refining processes, workflows, and technology that enhance our service delivery.
- Empower Growth: Identify and coordinate technical training programs that equip the team with skills to manage evolving operational challenges.
- Foster Collaboration: Host team meetings to share critical updates, operational insights, and foster a strong, collaborative environment.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct Quality Control reviews of Technical Consultant documentation, ensuring compliance with industry best practices and operational standards.
- Client Engagement & Operations: Provide on-site IT consultancy and operational management for key clients, ensuring their systems run smoothly and efficiently.
- Recruitment & Team Building: Lead the recruitment of top talent with the right skills to support high-level IT operations and consultancy.
- Strategic Operations Contributions: Participate in Lead Consultants meetings to contribute to the business’s operational strategy and long-term technical vision.
- Service Auditing & Operations Oversight: Shadow team members to audit services, ensuring high-quality and operational excellence.
- Technical Support Escalation: Serve as the key escalation point for complex operational and technical issues, guiding the regional team in delivering top-tier support.
- Client Solutions & IT Projects: Work directly with clients to deliver tailored IT operational solutions and oversee the management of complex IT projects from concept to completion.
Your Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience managing teams, ideally within an IT Managed Service Provider (MSP) environment, with a focus on operational leadership.
- Strong background in delivering IT consultancy services, with expertise in managing Microsoft 365 and Azure platforms within an operational framework.
- Proficient with server hardware, operating systems, hypervisors, and networking equipment, ensuring seamless operations across multiple environments.
- Commitment to self-development, ideally working toward Microsoft Expert-level certifications, with a focus on operational excellence.
- Excellent troubleshooting and operational problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication abilities, able to convey complex technical issues to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Approachable, supportive, and adaptable, particularly when responding to the needs of the team and clients in fast-paced IT operations environments.
