Hours: Full time – Hybrid – minimum 2 days in the office, 3 days working from home.
Salary: £44,524 - £52,381
We have an exciting opportunity at The General Dental Council (GDC) for an experienced Business Analyst to play a key role contributing to IT system enhancements and business change projects within the organisation.
Working within the IT team and reporting to the IT Lead Business Analyst, the IT Business Analyst will be responsible for the delivery of business analysis activity at all stages of the software development lifecycle.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Working closely with business owners to identify their current and future needs
- Interpreting and turning business needs into documented business and technical requirements
- Using industry standard techniques to elicit and model requirements for IT and business initiatives
- Ensuring that changes in operational areas consider the impact on existing systems and processes
- Providing advice, guidance, and suggestions about the viability of proposed projects
- Engaging with supporting third parties as required at any stage in the SDLC
- Supporting the delivery of business change projects
- Modelling As-Is and To-Be processes using BPMN
- Managing and supporting change
- Stakeholder engagement and management
You will need proven IT project-based experience as well as experience in the end-to-end deployment of software and solution delivery. Proven people management skills plus experience of coaching and teaching others are equally important.
Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 and BCS Business Analysis qualifications are desirable.
