Objective of the Role

Reporting to the Head /Sous Chef, the Kitchen Porter will support the chef and kitchen team in maintaining hygiene & cleanliness levels in the kitchens.

Key Duties And Responsibilities Include

  • Responsible for the cleanliness of the kitchens at all times
  • Receiving food deliveries and putting them into store
  • Disposing of kitchen waste and rubbish correctly
  • Bringing food in from the storeroom
  • Checking sell-by dates and rotating stock
  • Preparing simple food as directed by the chef
  • Using machinery such as grinders, mincers, slicers and mixers as directed by the chefs
  • Work alongside the chefs to maintain HACCP standards

Requirements Include

  • Previous experience working in a kitchen.
  • Flexibility in working hours as the role includes mornings/evenings & weekends
  • Ability to work as part of a team or on own initiative
