As a Lead Engineer, you'll steer the technical delivery of your team, ensuring their success through strong leadership and technical expertise. You'll oversee the work of developers and DevOps engineers, collaborating with senior and principal engineers to ensure solutions adhere to best practices. You’ll also stay ahead of emerging technologies, shaping strategies to drive innovation.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead a team of 5–6 engineers, managing workloads and addressing impediments to ensure effective delivery.
  • Coach and mentor team members, fostering their Continuous Professional Development (CPD) and encouraging professional qualifications.
  • Support capability building across your team and the broader organization.
  • Take a hands-on approach when necessary, blending leadership and technical tasks to meet objectives. You'll work in environments involving Machine Learning, Large Language Models (LLM), Power Platform, Low-Code Development, DevOps, and Azure.
  • Ensure adherence to best practices while championing improvements in tools, methods, and technologies.


What You’ll Bring

  • Proven leadership: Experience leading an agile team in a dynamic environment, managing stakeholders, and mitigating risks.
  • Technical oversight: Ability to review and ensure scalable, secure, and fit-for-purpose designs created by engineers and architects.
  • Lifecycle expertise: In-depth knowledge of the software development lifecycle, including CI/CD and development tooling.
  • Management skills: Strong capability in line management, task management, and handling performance issues.
  • Strategic growth: Experience in implementing training plans, building team capabilities, and contributing to recruitment efforts.
  • Process improvement: A proactive approach to enhancing security, sustainability, and service quality.
