Actual Salary range: £28,858 to £30,681 per annum
Allowances: SEN £1,492 pa (pro-rata)

Following the expansion of our school we are looking for a lead teaching assistant to work with pupils who have physical and communication difficulties. This role involves support in the classroom and a high level of physical work and personal care of pupils. You will work closely with the teacher with regard to planning and assessment and have some leadership responsibilities in the classroom. Initially this post is based at our primary department.
We have purpose designed buildings co-located with mainstream settings and are a very successful school, graded as “outstanding” by Ofsted. Candidates must have English and Maths GCSE Grade C or equivalent. Successful short-listed candidates will be asked to provide proof of these qualifications at interview or be prepared to sit an equivalency test during their probationary period. References will be requested during the shortlisting process, therefore it is imperative that candidates approach their referees in advance and provide up to date contact details. We will not shortlist if we are unable to obtain references.
