Kennedys is looking for a Legal Secretary to join our London office in the firm's busy, newly formed Cyber and Data Risk Team. The role will include supporting fee earners on active claims, carrying out conflict checks, opening files, regular client contact, proactive identification and input of key information onto the firm's case management system and preparing regular MI reports for clients.
Team
Kennedys' recently established Cyber Data Recoveries Team consists of a rapidly expanding group of lawyers based in London, across the Regions and Globally. The dedicated team provides expert advise on all aspects of data breach.
Key Responsibilities
- File opening and conflict checks, highlight any issues and then proceed to open files as necessary
- Manage and prioritise tasks according to urgency for fee earning team
- Manage spreadsheets
- Travel arrangements and itineraries
- Diary Management
- Preparing client engagement letters and TOB
- Processing expense and client activities
- There is also a monthly MI report which we send to the client
- Seek to develop knowledge of the team practice area, learning how it operates and adhering to it
- Sending out emails / liaising with clients
- Billing (all billing aspects)
- File closures and amending documents
Required Experience
- Previous secretarial experience
- Competent knowledge about legal practice
- Proficient in word processing/office software
