We are looking for an exceptional Localisation Project Coordinator to join our Regulatory Team, based in Cambridge. This role is offered on a hybrid basis, with a minimum of 3 days a week being based in the office. Reporting to the Labelling Localisation Regulatory Manager.


As a Localisation Project Coordinator, you will manage specific localisation projects from start to finish, working closely with content owners and stakeholders to understand localisation requirements. You will prepare source content for localisation, ensure linguists have the necessary context and resources, and verify that translated content meets quality standards. You will oversee the localisation process for CMR products and documents, update glossaries and style guides and process new translation requests. Additionally, you will interface with translation service providers, evaluate translations, provide feedback, and help develop and improve the localisation process to support CMRs growth and expansion.

Responsibilities


  • Manage the entire lifecycle of multiple localisation projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Oversee the localisation process for CMR and progress translation projects assigned to you.
  • Work with internal and external teams to improve the quality of localised material at CMR.
  • Build strong relationships with external translation service providers to deliver accurate and timely translations.
  • Critically evaluate translations and provide feedback to the translation service providers to ensure translations of the highest quality are provided.
  • Help develop and improve the localisation process to meet the demands of growth and expansion.

About You

  • A fast learner with the ability to absorb information quickly to get up to speed.
  • 1-5 years’ experience as a project/process coordinator or a similar role.
  • Post-Secondary Degree/Diploma specialisation in Linguistics, Language Studies, Communications, or a related field.
  • Understanding of the E2E localisation process, including translation, editing, proofreading, quality assurance, and final delivery.
  • Familiarity with source and target language challenges, with expertise gained within a highly regulated industry e.g. Medical Technology or equivalent global & complex organization experience; experience of working within a quality and compliance environment and application of policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Excellent proofreading skills with the ability to identify grammar, spelling, and punctuation errors.
  • A strong understanding of translation concepts including translation memory and terminology management.
  • Experienced research skills in understanding industry terms.
  • Familiarity with Computer Assisted Translation (CAT) tools (SDL, Trados Studio, MemoQ, Phrase, or Smartling).
  • High accuracy and meticulous attention to detail.


It would also be helpful if you have:


  • Fluency in another language in addition to English is highly desirable.
  • Experience of Lean, Six Sigma or other relevant improvement methodologies.
  • Knowledge of surgical robotic systems, software launches, digital products, and ideally advanced vision systems such as ICG.
