Job Title: Logistics Administrator (12-Month Fixed Term Contract)

Within Print the Logistics Administrator you’ll be supporting the daily print tasks of the business, this covers multiple projects throughout the business and working closely with our printers. Whilst some level of experience working within a print distribution chain is preferred, this is a role where full training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
The duties of a Logistics Administrator are tailored to tasks carried within the print division, and the tasks allocated to Print.
Logistics Administrator may gain experience of all duties and responsibilities through a process of task rotation.
- Manage the print spec and support research team when setting up projects.
- Working closely with print suppliers.
- Obtain costs reflecting print requirements.
- Generic administration tasks.
- Manage project stationery stock quantities.
- Carry out regular stock counts and quality control.
- Updating planners (Teamwork).
- Liaising with the project management team to ensure printing requirements are met.
- Some lifting of heavy boxes will be involved.
- Sending/receiving emails and making/answering calls.
- Create purchase orders.
- Help with other depts when required.
- Accurate data entry skills.
- Ability to prioritize and multitask effectively.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Other Duties
- To perform any other reasonable duties that NatCen may require that are consistent with the broad nature of the job.
- Timely accurate communication and ownership on all live project’s responsibilities that sit within this role.
- Dealing with queries and emails from freelancers, staff and internal / external customers, including arranging of supplies and quotes.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Essential skills and attributes criteria
- Computer literacy in application of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, InDesign and the ability to pick up bespoke systems.
- Education to GCSE level, equivalent, or above.
- Experience of working in a multi-tasked administrative role.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- High degree of IT literacy (incl. MS Office suite applications).
- Effective team worker.
- Proactive and highly motivated to deliver tasked outcomes successfully.
- Resilient in the face of setbacks and challenges.
