About The Role
As our business evolves, we are looking to strengthen our workforce with talented and motivated individuals across a range of disciplines to work from our Northwest Engineering Centre of Excellence and currently have this opportunity available:
The core responsibility of this role is to receive vehicle components, kit and supply line-side in a safe and timely manner in addition to maintaining good housekeeping, methods and behaviours within the purpose-built facility. You will also support the Warehouse Manager and Supervisor with service delivery and improvement initiatives.
- Supporting a small shift team in the Warehouse operations.
- Ensuring safe receipt of goods and timely assessment and processing into stock/kit/line-side/quarantine.
- Receiving product-specific training to understand process flow and the needs of your internal customers.
- Working with Warehouse, Quality and Production teams to ensure goods are available when and where needed.
- Contributing to the safe, tidy and professional running of the Warehouse operation.
- Accurate kitting activity, completion of supporting forms and hand-held devices as per training provided.
- Safely delivering workflow activities to a production schedule.
- Engaging constructively in training provided and identifying any areas which are unclear to assist an efficient learning process.
- Seeking and highlighting any opportunities for continuous improvement in safety, cost, quality, delivery and environmental performance – we want you to feel a part of the process and your feedback is valued.
- Collating data to support Warehouse performance metrics.
- Supporting the Warehouse customer focus – presentation of image and working standards to internal customers and external visitors.
- Communicating effectively with internal and external customers.
What We Need From You
Applications will be considered from candidates with a current Driving Licence and Forklift Truck Licence. Previously having Health & Safety at work training and being a qualified First Aider would be advantageous but is not essential. We need you to have previous experience in Warehouse Operations, and it would be desirable for you to have previous SAP experience, Microsoft Office skills, a basic knowledge of MRP2, experience with safety in a Logistical/Manufacturing environment and experience with component metrology and quality improvement tools.
