Location: Leicester/Remote
Working hours: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours a week
Operating within the highly competitive I&C sector, the focus of the role is to acquire, manage and renew existing supply contracts. To manage Yu Energy's largest and most complex customers, with the relevant TPI or to directly manage those relationships, where appropriate. To ensure value is maximised for both new and existing customers, with a key emphasis on developing processes & initiatives to deliver long-term relationships.
You will have senior responsibility for supporting and managing where appropriate the growing B2B (SME+I&C) business energy portfolio, focusing on delivering both volume, margin and meters. You will have direct responsibility for own TPI's and associated targets.
Reporting and working closely with the Sales Management Team and working within a team to effectively drive quality and service, ensuring that TPIs and the customers that we acquire from them are provided with a first-class level of service, always.

What We Need From Yü
Here's a taste of what you'll be doing:
- Prospecting and identifying new business opportunities, so as to exceed Acquisition sales targets for customers with "High Intensive" energy spend across the TPI & Direct Channels
- Owning the relationship with our most complex and valuable customers, ensuring all aspects of each account is running in line with expectations.
- Identifying and driving internal improvements to the customer proposition and delivery of services to the assigned customers, working with the relevant departments to enable timely implementation.
- Working closely with Yu Energy's Commercial Team to ensure opportunities are understood in terms of risk, credit and overall commerciality of the deal.
- Deliver personal sales targets – Developing and Managing your own renewal portfolio to maximise retention and revenue
- Negotiate gas and electricity supply contracts within delegated authority levels.
- Manage and Develop new and existing TPI partnerships to increase new business revenue through the channel. Including managing engagement through telephone and face to face meetings and maximising opportunity.
- Understand and Develop a Key Account Management Process in conjunction with Customer Operations with the emphasis on maximising retention and revenue.
- Proactively develop and improve propositions with TPIs, identifying additional areas of added value business for both parties
- Production of bespoke sales quotations and tenders for TPI's and processing of all contracts
- To support or actively manage, where appropriate, all Key Account Tenders for new and existing business. The emphasis being on those tenders which are over an agreed size (either sites or AQ) or have more "complex" requirements.
- Work closely with the TPI BDM to ensure effective communication between Account Managers and Business Development activity, with an emphasis on building effective relationships and increasing conversion rates.
- Play an active senior role within the overall Yu Energy sales structure to increase efficiencies, reduce errors and promote a "first-time right" approach to non-sales specific tasks. To support building TPI or direct relations through an effective sales support function.
- Monitor/Report on competitor/TPI activity where required
About Yü

- IT Literate
- Degree level preferred although not essential. A good level of general education being articulate and numerate is essential.
- Experience of working within a TPI Framework is desirable but not essential
- A minimum of 2 Years' experience of new business development in a B2B environment
- Proven ability to manage long term relationships
- Experience and knowledge of the business energy sector (desirable)
- Excellent communication & presentation skills
- Excellent Relationship Building skills
- Skilled in negotiation and closing sales at all levels
- Ambitious character with a drive to achieve targets
- Ability to manage high workloads and balance priorities
- Strong planning & Organisational skills
- Able to demonstrate a high level of focus and emotional resilience
- A high level of relevant Industry experience is essential
