Role Overview
There is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Surveyor to join the Savills UK Infrastructure business to work within our Major Projects Scotland Team.
You will be responsible for oversight of client delivery and instructions, as well as conducting a wide variety of Infrastructure and Utilities land consents projects.
You will hold extensive project management experience working with, complex, projects across sectors with proven and recent experience in a management role.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive the delivery of Land Programmes throughout the whole project lifecycle to ensure they are delivered safely, on time, to budget, meeting business & technical requirements.
- Ensure effective client and stakeholder communications.
- Manage a Savills delivery team, with regular client communication, will be essential to the success of Savills services under the numerous Framework agreements we hold.
- Work collaboratively with other Savills teams (e.g. Land Referencing) to ensure deliverables.
- Report and analyse team’s progress to management team.
- As part of this role, you are also expected to lead and enhance the team according to business’ targets, develop strong working relationships with partners across the practice and identify business development opportunities (both internally and externally).
Key Skills
- Experience in managing and growing teams (line management, recruitment, training, implementation of best practices).
- Experience of working with and getting agreement from key stakeholders, such as landowners, tenants, and their agents, local authorities and national agencies.
- Substantial knowledge and experience of Scottish planning, consenting and environmental requirements for major capital projects (including, Town and Country Planning, Development Consent Order/CPO, Section 37 Consent, Environmental Permitting, and other relevant matters).
- A demonstrable track record in the successful development and implementation of land strategies for projects.
- A good understanding of the transition from preconstruction planning consent through to commencement on site, with the allocation and handover of consents and obligations.
- Awareness of necessary IT systems and GIS Desired qualification (RICS, APM, etc.), however training will be provided to attain if relevant industry experience would support.
- A high level of diligence and attention to detail.
- Ability to work efficiently within a multidisciplinary integrated delivery team.

The Infrastructure Projects team is a single department covering the whole of the UK. It consists of over 85 staff located throughout the country at entry level to those with over 30 years’ experience.
We specialise in Infrastructure and Utilities clients and projects and are passionate about the high levels of service and collaborative working with our clients.
