About the Role
This is a pivotal role within the Finance Team of our fast-growing business. Working alongside the Senior Management Accountant, you will be responsible for the preparation of complex, large-scale management accounts.
The ideal candidate will have experience preparing accounts, ideally with high transaction volumes and exposure to diverse business models. You’ll thrive in a dynamic environment, with a passion for systems improvement and an interest automation.
Key Responsibilities
Management Accounts
- Manage month-end reporting across multiple entities by posting journal entries, resolving discrepancies with various business systems, producing flash reports, and preparing monthly management accounts including variance analysis and commentary.
- Production of weekly financial reports for business use
- Reconciliation of balance sheet and P&L accounts, ensuring accuracy and integrity.
- Perform intercompany reconciliations, eliminate intercompany transactions, and consolidate financial statements for subsidiaries.
- Execute daily accounting tasks to support overall financial management.
- Build strong relationships with business partners and departments to ensure accurate financial balances.
Process Improvement & Automation
- Help to automate financial processes, including Accounts Payable, Receivable and FA register improving efficiency and scalability.
- Work on systems integration projects
Audit
- Support annual audits with preparation of the required schedules and explanations
About You
Essential Qualifications and Skills
- Part qualified CIMA / ACCA / Level 4 AAT
- 2-3 years of experience in management accounting
- Strong Excel skills.
- Experience with accounting software such as Xero and/or NetSuite desirable.
- Any exposure to systems integration and automation, such as accounts payable / receivable beneficial is desirable
