We are thrilled to offer a fantastic opportunity to join our dynamic Head Office Accounts team as a
Management Accounts Assistant.
In this role, you will report directly to our Senior Management Accountant, playing a key part in the day-to-day management accounting functions and providing essential administrative support to the accounts team.
Your responsibilities will include preparing and maintaining budget and actuals reporting files and templates and performing the initial review of financial data. You will also handle specific administrative tasks, such as creating Purchase Orders and managing intercompany invoicing. Additionally, you will assist with data analysis and manipulation to support Senior Management and Financial Accountants.
The role is based with colleagues in our Sunderland office - Doxford Park, a minimum of 2 days per week with the rest focusing on where you can best deliver, whilst still allowing for the required work life balance. The role operates Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week with 1 hour lunch per day.
Key Responsibilities Of The Role
- Run monthly P&L reports to produce the monthly financial reporting packs for the Management Accountants. Where corrections are needed request/post journals to Oracle. Provide basic summaries / comments on variances.
- Run reports and produce analysis to support the production of Head Office Reporting Dashboards and other reporting outputs.
- Produce budget forecast template files for Management Accountants and FBPs and pre-populate with financials and data where possible.
- Creating the purchase orders for Ltd Miscellaneous cost centre and produce analysis on Open POs; GRNI and receipting purchase orders.
- Produce data sets and analysis to support ad-hoc requests from senior stakeholders.
- Creating Intercompany invoicing.
- Creation of PO reports, and leading in the weekly PO call.
- ONS submissions.
- Review and update budgetary approval control document.
- Support the Senior Management Accountant & Senior Financial Accountant with all tasks as required.
What we'd like from you!
We’re looking for someone who has relevant accounting experience and are AAT qualified or working towards.
Candidates Must Also
- Have experience producing budgets and forecasts.
- Possess the ability to analyse data and produce reports and analysis from this.
- Have experience using accounting systems and other IT software (e.g. Excel).
- Be a self-starter, capable of providing drive and bringing passion to the role.
- Be able to work independently, with confidence, and be able to manage conflicting priorities.
- Enjoy the challenge of working in a fast paced and complex business.
- Possess good attention to detail and the ability to investigate and resolve issues.
