Our Actuarial & Risk team provides market leading advice to clients in the financial services sector and further afield. We consult extensively to the life insurance, general insurance, health insurance and pensions sectors, as well as to the banking and other non-traditional areas. We specialise in developing bespoke solutions that are theoretically robust but also pragmatic to implement and commercially sound.
You will play a key role in the Actuarial & Risk team, working primarily with life insurance clients to deliver solutions and advice on complex issues. You will work on a wide variety of projects including Transactions and Independent Expert assignments, IFRS 17 implementation, Model Validation, Capital Modelling, Solvency II services and Finance Transformation.

A look into the role
As an Actuarial Life Manager within our Actuarial & Risk team, you will:
- Work in a wide variety of projects including IFRS 17, Transactions and Independent expert assignment, Audits, Capital Modelling and Reserving for insurers and reinsurers.
- Lead in the day-to-day management of projects and delivery of client work. You will engage with all key stakeholders on a regular basis to ensure deadlines are met, risks are managed, and the quality of work is to the highest standard.
- Take responsibility for developing more junior members of the team, understanding their career aspirations and supporting their delivery.
- Support business development activities by building strong internal and external networks to help foster new clients and opportunities.
Knowing you’re right for us
Joining us as a Life Senior Manager, the
minimum criteria you’ll need is experience in a life insurance company’s actuarial function or an actuarial consulting role. It would be great if you had some of the following skills, but don’t worry if you don’t tick every box, we’ll help you develop along the way.
- Qualified actuary
- Experience in actuarial modelling, capital or reporting teams
- Ability to adapt quickly, work to tight deadlines and a track record of producing high quality work
- Monitoring junior team members work and coaching/career development
- Have an inquisitive and entrepreneurial mindset
