We currently have an opportunity to join our team as a Managing Quantity Surveyor on the A428 Black Cat to Caxton Gibbet Improvement project. The purpose of the National Highways scheme is to address the problems of congestion, poor journey time reliability and poor resilience against incidents between the Black Cat and Caxton Gibbet roundabouts.
What you'll do:
- Reporting to the commercial manager, assist in management of the commercial and administration functions of the project.
- Supervise and mentor quantity surveyors. Providing support and guidance
- Undertake line management responsibilities as required for direct report staff ensuring each is effectively managed, has a current performance review
- Ensure compliance with contract administration requirements and Skanska standards and procedures.
- Undertake and oversee subcontractor administration
- Deliver robust, accurate and timely commercial reporting
What you'll bring to the role:
- Several years experience as a Managing Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor,
- Previous line management experience.
- Experience with NEC forms of contract
- Proficient in subcontract administration
- BSc or MSc in Quantity Surveying or equivalent in commercial related subject
- Good communication skills
