We are currently recruiting an Industrial Manufacturing Engineer to support one of our Marine customers on a rolling contract. The hourly rate is negotiable based on experience, seniority, etc.and t he successful candidate will play a key role in delivering a high-quality service to our client and will be expected to be proactive and self-motivated in delivering the targeted outputs to support the product.
The successful candidate will be based within the customer site and will report directly to the Programme Delivery Lead.
Responsibilities
- The role will be to develop & manage current production processes to improve Quality, Cost &Time whilst supporting planning and the introduction of new products and processes.
- Act as the engineering production interface to help drive and support production.
- Good CAD knowledge in creating both 2D and 3D manufacturing data sets. (Modelling/detail drawings/Bill of Materials).
- Liaise with ‘in-house’ production to fully understand the end requirement and function.
- Create Tooling specification and requirements document.
- Liaise with and support design and manufacture supply chain.
- Attend design reviews and Tool trials where applicable.
Qualifications
- Engineering degree, or equivalent, with proven practical Engineering & manufacturing knowledge and experience.
- Candidates without accredited qualifications will be considered depending upon experience.
Essential Skills
- CAD proficient
- Proactive ‘Team Player’ with a focus on delivery and quality who is able to work and act autonomously.
- Ability to liaise at all levels of the business management levels.
- Excellent communication skills and decision maker.
Experience
- Knowledge of Tooling and Production process.
