About The Role


This is an entry-level role, suited to those who or are due to graduate university in 2025 or have already graduated. Our Graduate Development Programme is a two-year learning programme with an aim to develop well-rounded specialist graduates in a chosen business area. You are a permanent employee from day one and will have a real opportunity to make an impact at Cala through executive sponsored projects as well as completing two varying discipline rotations across the wider business.


The programme includes:

  • A three-day formal induction in Edinburgh
  • Classroom and virtual sessions covering key stages in the construction lifecycle, and key business skills such as commercial awareness and influencing
  • Interactive group projects working with a number of other graduates in disciplines across the business allowing you to build a strong network
  • Networking opportunities with senior managers and peers
  • One-to-one support from line managers, mentors, recent graduates, and industry professionals


Alongside programme activity, you will receive on-the-job training and you will play an integral role within the Marketing team in our Cotswolds region. Our Marketing teams play a critical role in raising awareness of our developments and promote the Cala brand through a mix of traditional and digital marketing, and advertising, social media and public relations. These teams are additionally responsible for the design and set up of our sales areas and showhomes. Your key responsibilities will therefore be as follows:

  • Act as a Cala brand ambassador, deploying marketing materials that align with the company’s vision, values and guidelines to achieve high standards with brand consistency
  • Support the Marketing Manager with PR activity including Community Pledge implementation, maintaining positive online coverage, crisis management, content delivery & updating social media content
  • Proof reading materials to ensure accuracy and appropriateness in line with the brand tone of voice to develop engaging and informative content through various platforms
  • Assisting the Marketing Manager with day-to-day management of NHQC and Data Protection matters
  • Assist in the execution of digital and traditional marketing campaigns through strategic and tactical marketing activities including asset briefing and asset production to set deadlines and budgets
  • Support the Marketing team with new development launches including set up of new developments through our internal systems such as Salesforce and the Cala website
  • Support development lifecycle activity including database & enquiry generation communications i.e. emails, SMS, newsletters and portal email activity
  • Oversee website and portal updates in line with price list changes to ensure accuracy at all times
  • Analysis of market data, competitors and digital performance to targeted marketing strategies
  • Work closely with Group Marketing, the Sales teams, portals and agencies (creative, media, signage and PR). Attend regular meetings with all to discuss current and future developments, effectiveness of media spend and activity
  • Ad hoc; Site visits and other duties to support the Marketing Manager as required


About You


We are seeking a new team member who is confident and has the passion and drive to succeed at the highest level.


You will have achieved, or be on track to achieve, a Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g. Marketing, Events Management, Business Management, Psychology). You should also be able to demonstrate the following knowledge, skills and abilities:

  • Eagerness to learn
  • A can-do attitude, with ability to work on your own initiative
  • Effective time management, organisation, and prioritisation skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Has an eye for detail
  • A team player
  • Interest in digital marketing
  • Experience in copy writing
  • Proficiency in IT skills, including MS Office Suite applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Interest in the housebuilding industry
  • Industry experience is beneficial (e.g. Marketing interning/placement)
  • Must have a full Right to Work in the UK
  • Must have (or working towards obtaining) a valid UK Driving License and a willingness to travel

LOCATION

Cala Homes (Cotswolds) Limited is one of nine regional Cala businesses. The Cotswolds team oversee Cala’s new home developments in Oxfordshire, Warwickshire and Gloucestershire. This role is based in Kidlington, Oxford. As part of this role, you will be required to visit our developments across the Cotswolds region. This is a hybrid role where you are expected to work a mix of in-office, remotely and on-site.
