About The Role
As Marketing Manager (North & Scotland), you’ll be responsible for developing and executing strategic marketing plans that drive engagement and support business growth. You will work closely with regional directors, internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure timely and relevant information is used in your campaigns. You will also oversee a range of regional marketing activities and support the development of two direct reports.
Key responsibilities
- Regional marketing strategy: Plan, execute, and report on both online and offline marketing strategies to drive brand awareness and sales in the North of the UK. This includes digital campaigns, events, exhibitions, email marketing, social media, press releases, thought leadership, video, and more
- Campaign management: Lead the creation and implementation of multi-channel campaigns, ensuring alignment with the company’s brand and business objectives
- Client engagement: Attend client strategy meetings as required, providing marketing insights and overseeing large regional projects to ensure successful delivery of campaigns
- Team leadership: Oversee two direct reports (Project Communications Manager and Graduate Apprentice), supporting their professional growth and development
- Content creation & thought leadership: Working with the marketing team, develop high-quality content for various platforms, including blog posts, industry articles and thought leadership pieces that highlight our capabilities in low carbon solutions
- Event & exhibition coordination: Plan and manage regional events and exhibitions, ensuring alignment with marketing objectives and delivering an engaging experience for stakeholders
- Performance reporting: Report monthly to regional directors, providing detailed analysis of marketing activities, campaign performance, and strategic insights for future planning
- Brand consistency: Ensure consistent implementation of the company’s brand voice, messaging and visual identity across all marketing channels
- Stakeholder management: Work closely with clients, internal teams, stakeholders and external agencies when needed, to deliver cohesive and impactful marketing campaigns
- Innovation & growth: Continuously seek out new marketing opportunities and channels to keep the company at the forefront of the industry

- Project management: Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple large-scale projects and meet deadlines
- Creative & analytical: A balance of creativity and data-driven decision-making to create engaging campaigns and measure their success
- Marketing expertise: Experience across a variety of marketing channels, including digital, content, PR, events, social media, email marketing, and video production
- A degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field is preferred
- Proven experience in a Marketing Manager role
- Strong digital marketing skills, with experience in tools such as Google Analytics and CRM systems, and content management platforms
- Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite or similar design software is desirable
- Proven experience in writing press releases and social media posts
