Our Opportunity
We are looking for a dedicated Materials Store Controller to play a key role at our Thales Crawley location. This position is vital in ensuring governance and process compliance with Customer Funded Equipment (CFE) requirements, as well as overseeing all activities related to the receiving, shipping, transacting, and embodiment of CFE assets. As our volumes increase, you will be heavily involved in developing and enhancing processes to maintain efficiency and accuracy in managing CFE on-site, ensuring that we meet our operational objectives while upholding the highest standards of compliance and accountability.
As a Materials Store Controller, you will be:
- Primary contact for the control of CFE assets within the end to end supply chain.
- Representing the company in CFE audits and any other relevant customer material audits.
- Developing improved solutions within the CFE supply chain including developing the interface with key internal customers
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Apply a methodical, disciplined approach to Inventory Management and CFE accountability.
- Support improvements in process & transactional accountability
- Support a self-audit process to improve CFE/GFE compliance.
- Responsible for the presentation of data relating to CFE
- Take Supporting role in customer audits for CFE
- Build relationships with all stakeholders e.g. internal functions and customer reporting requirements.
- Participate in the development of solutions to process issues in line with company objective
- Experienced, with a demonstrated record in delivering compliant processes and upholding Quality Assurance in all aspects of the supply chain
- Capable of managing and growing improved efficiency with the customer interface
- Be an effective communicator – to include presentation skills - and able to prioritise tasks and understand need to escalate issues.
- Be able to demonstrate skill & a level of competency in the use of:
- PC, Laptop & Peripherals
- MS office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Teams)
- Adobe PDF Writer
About You
You will:
- Demonstrated experience in delivering customer satisfaction
- Understanding of Defense industry supply chain standards is desirable
- Experience in working across varied functions
- Recognised Supply Chain qualification is desirable. Personality / Behaviours
- Commercially aware – with an emphasis in delivering customer satisfaction
- Demonstrate a right first time attitude.
- Have the necessary drive, enthusiasm and interpersonal skills to communicate with multiple stakeholders in problem solving. An understanding of the principals of 5 Why/Root Cause Analysis would be an advantage.
- Ability to work to deadlines.
- Be able to assess and manage workload
