WGM Engineering have an excellent opportunity for a Mechanical Engineer to join our E&M Division on a permanent basis covering various sites throughout the Central belt of Scotland. The overall purpose for the role is to deliver mechanical maintenance, refurbishment and new installation works including testing & pre-commissioning activities. Main Duties And Responsibilities
- Identify equipment on site as per enquiry.
- Organise and lead site service work.
- Carry out site surveys and produce reports
- Diagnosing breakdown problem and report.
- Work with Project Engineer/Forman/planner to identify parts and repairs required.
- Work with Project Engineer with writing maintenance strategies to help with installation and commissioning guidelines.
- Responsible for controlling maintenance tools, stores and equipment in vehicles and on site.
- Responsible for the assembly, testing and the recording of results.
- Responsible for detailing method, materials and component required to complete repairs.
- Responsible for carrying out quality inspections on the job
- Identify problematic plant and the subsequent faults.
- Use computerised systems to oversee routine maintenance and organise repairs.
- Take part in finding efficient solutions to return equipment to working order.
- Actively take part in risk assessment, COSHH assessment and all related Health and Safety issues.
- Interpret RAMS and prepare daily TSRA’s.
- Work well and safely as part of a team
- Provide information and on-site support for WGM teams.
- Assist interdepartmental teams as required
- Able to understand planning and scheduling of work processes.
- Liaising with the team and client site operations staff on a day to day basis
Qualifications
Recognised apprenticeship in Mechanical Engineering
Relevant NVQ level 3 or equivalent.
Full UK drivers license
To be considered for this position you will have at least 2-3 years previous mechanical engineering experience ideally working within the waste water sector or industrial sectors, the ideal candidate will have excellent technical skills, working as a team player alongside other mechanical and electrical engineers to provide complete solutions for planned and reactive work.
